Portland held more promise than I had time this morning, and the number of Wheatears, Whitethroats and Yellow Wags seen in a quick spin around before work made me wish I'd got up earlier. There was just time to stop at Ferrybridge where a lone birder had managed to relocate the Kentish Plover found the previous evening. Easier said than done as the bird was distant, mobile and tiny compared to the Ringed Plovers, Sanderling and Dunlin with which it was associating.
